I watched the Australian movie Red Hill the other day, this 2010 film has a true wild western revenge vibe to it which I like a lot. Highly recommendable!

Aaron Bruno (Under the influence of giants) is the mastermind behind AwolNation, the debut album "Megalithic symphony" is a very catchy electro pop/rock affair with plenty of hookladen choruses. I think the music leans more towards rock (INXS vibes) than pop and it´s definitely an album I want to return to many more times.
If you like artsy music, then Astra Heights new album "Ship of thesus" should be your cup of tea, there are traces of glamrock a la David Bowie as well as Pink Floyd-esque progressive rock in their sound. Add a touch of 90´s Britrock into the mix and voila! Astra Heights.
Dallas based modern rock band Anchored will release their debut album "Listen to this" on May 17th, this is a really cool and groovy electro oriented modern rock album with southern flavor. For fans of Adelitas Way, Hinder and My Darkest Days.
