Tony Clifton was formed in a shed on Gotland, Sweden in 2001, with a band name taken from the alter ego of comedian Andy Kaufman. After high school the group moved to London to live and play for a year and returned to Sweden as a sought after live act with tightness as its trademark. After having played some of Sweden’s biggest festivals, T.C. signed with Sony/ATV and Bricktop Recordings in 2005 and released its first EP a year later. The five-track album did very well and paved the way for the single ‘Alone’, which topped radio charts in the spring of 2007. But whilist working on the first full length, Bricktop Recordings went bankrupt, and the band was at an intersection. The DIY-label Bodily Beats was formed and ‘White Elephant’ released in 2008. After that, all strings were cut and the work with the follow-up ‘
At Sixes And Sevens’ commenced right away.
The new album will be released on March 22nd, listen to the first single "Circles" at
