Rock and roll heroes - Whitesnake

David Coverdale started his career in Deep Purple and wrote history as one of the most charismatic frontmen in rocknroll business, with a soulful and bluesy voice that could strip the clothes of any woman with just singing the words "I miss you baby".
Purple men Paice and Lord joined Coverdale in Whitesnake and several different line up´s followed but the first 7 albums are nothing but classics.
I only saw them in concert once in 1982 and it wasn´t a fun night, solo masturbation is nothing for me. I want songs!

When Coverdale fired the whole band after the successful 1987 album, he had a tough thing to do with the follow up "Slip of the tongue" in 1989 and little did it help with super guitarists Vandenberg and Vai. It flopped but it ain´t such a bad album after all. Perhaps a little too metal-like for Whitesnake fans but plenty of good songs. Underrated it is.

The latest studio album "Good to be bad" is a return back to the bluesy roots and there are a few nice songs on it, new guitarist Doug Aldrich is doing a good job replacing the guitar legends before him but I prefer Sykes and the others.

The 1997 album "Restless heart" with Vandenberg is quite boring to be honest, this is a more laid back affair that might suit Coverdale´s raspy voice but the songs sucked.
