Rock and roll heroes - Genesis

Genesis is without doubt one of the best and most influential bands in the progrock genre, songbased progmusic when it sounds the best if you ask me.
8 albums in 8 years between 1970-1978 and all are bloody classics, viva Genesis!

The band stopped playing arenas when Phil Collins left the band and Ray Wilson replaced him, the 1997 album "Calling all stations" didn´t sell as good as the other albums but it was really good. Rutherford and Banks wrote some serious good Genesis prog that reminded of the Gabriel era.

The debut from 1969 and the 80´s albums Duke, Ababacab, Genesis and Invisible touch are so good that most prog bands would die to have released these albums but they didn´t match the 70´s stuff. This was a new different sound of the Collins era.

The last studio album with Collins is "We can´t dance" from 1991 and there were too many ballads on it, a shame since it also featured the amazing "Driving the last spike". This album could´ve been so much better.
