There aren´t that many bands in the Nordic countries that can beat Norwegian band TNT in melodic metal, I am a huge fan of their classic albums Knights of the new world, Tell no tales and Intuition released between 1984-1989.I saw this great line up in concert in 1987 and Tony Harnell truly hit those high pitch notes just as good live as on record.
One album that isn´t as recognized as the classic albums is Realized fantasies from 1992, but this remarkably good album do contain some serious hard hitting TNT metal such as Downhill racer and many more.Le Tekro has done some of his best riffs on this album.
The debut from 1982, the last two Harnell albums My religion (2004) and All the way to the sun (2005) and his replacement Tony Mills on the latest two albums The new territory (2007) and Atlantis (2008) are all nice stuff. Nothing that will match the splendid 80´s era but there are enough good songs here to make a strong compilation.
When grunge came in the 90´s, a lot of melodic bands changed sound and so did TNT but for the worst. I never liked this alternative style from the band and their fans ran away faster than the speed of light. Two 90´s albums from TNT with poor sales.
